How would you rate the city of Cape Coral on transparency?

  1. An “A” - very transparent.
  2. A “B” - mostly transparent.
  3. A “C” - it’s government, it’s about average
  4. A “D” - Sub-par; the public gets too little information too late.
  5. An “F” - Not at all. It seems like everything is pretty much decided before the public gets to weigh in.

ERoberts, Do you know any REAL REPRESENTATIVE? They ALL become jaded and feel that they are the only ones who KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. The electorate are merely lemmings to be led, not listened to. Such is the result of elected officials. In their minds they believe that everything is determined solely by their decisions without distraction of opposing thoughts or actions. Your vision is only present in UTOPIA.

Cape Coral Council, you need to pay attention to the results here! This is why most members only last 1 term. I wont be voting for any incumbents.

reyemm, seriously? Just elect them and then shut the heck up and let them do whatever they want? That's ridiculous. A good representative would vote contrary to their own position if the majority of his constituents wanted him to. Continually considering public input in the decision making process is critical to a successful community.

There is NO DOUBT that the sale of alcohol at Sun Splash was decided before the public was able to weigh in on it. The citizens that showed up and spoke out at the meeting were dismissed as though their input didn't matter.

Even though I voted " e ", I believe that the reason we have representatives on the council, is to eliminate the confusion of multitudes of input from different angles of opinion. ERGO.." e " is the reasonable action by our council members.
