Of course the NRA doesn't bear a burden in gun violence.. The only person responsible for violence by gun, car, bomb, fist or knife is the person committing the act...anything else is childish. A gun or a knife sitting in a drawer or in the hands of a responsible person isn't likely to jump out and harm anyone...only in libby fantasy world. In the military we were taught to instantly kill with a pencil. Outlaw pencils? Limit how many pencils one can purchase or carry? Of the thousands killed each year in DEMOCRAT RUINED cities Nationwide by gun violence.. about 98% committed with handguns.. I doubt these folks are NRA members. Never forget the FACT that the greatest gun salesperson of the century was unquestionably Democrat USA hater and racist Barack O'Sharpton.. Responsible for cleaning out gun stores Nationwide in a week.. Not the NRA.

Give us an example -- in your CIVILIAN experience -- where displaying or using a gun was the solution (rather than the cause) of a dangerous experience in your life ! ! !

I have repeated asked in this space, but have NOT received a response from ANY Gunnie ! ! !

Again -- Just TWADDLE ! ! !

Gunnies -- I have given you adequate opportunity to defend your position regarding personal gun ownership -- but you have NOT done so.

HERE are some verified/verifiable FACTS ::

"The latest data show that people use guns for self-defense only rarely. According to a Harvard University analysis of figures from the National Crime Victimization Survey, people defended themselves with a gun in nearly 0.9 percent of crimes from 2007 to 2011.

David Hemenway, who led the Harvard research, argues that the risks of owning a gun outweigh the benefits of having one in the rare case where you might need to defend yourself.

"The average person ... has basically no chance in their lifetime ever to use a gun in self-defense," he tells Here & Now's Robin Young. "But ... every day, they have a chance to use the gun inappropriately. They have a chance, they get angry. They get scared." "

Is Allenwoll always so disrespectful of other commentators? As for the NRA..they promote safe usage of a firearm. I haven't read where any of the crimes have been committed by an NRA member....it is possible i suppose there are millions of them.

DrC -- Where is the non-earned disrespect ? ?

I will check on the NRA rate.

Further, I wonder what the numbers would be if we subtracted the hypercrime areas like some of our large cities ?

Of course the NRA doesn't bear a burden in gun violence.. Does Hollywood? Do car makers? Knife makers?(many more killed with knives each year than guns)The only person responsible for violence by gun, car, bomb, hate speech, fist or knife is the person or entity committing or promoting the act...not a lifeless object. Never forget the FACT that the greatest gun salesperson of the century was unquestionably Democrat USA hater, well documented lifelong racist, master liar and divider, Barack O'Sharpton.. Responsible for cleaning out gun stores Nationwide in a single week.. Not the NRA.

Sorry, Seafy, but your irrational opinion (ImO) does NOT wash with well-known, verifiable FACT ! ! .

You do keep a well-manicured "Lawn" of Falsehood -- but FACT will nevertheless inevitably penetrate : There is no "Roundup" effective against TRUTH, except that manufactured according to the advice of the late ole P J Goebbels, the MASTER of Destructive Political, Social and Economic Propaganda. . You do follow his advice well ! ! !

See "Mikethegunguy".

Seafood -- Apparently, I need to remind you again that YOUR PERSONAL BELIEF does NOT a FACT make ! ! !

You live in an Upside-Down world of your own making, of course with the help of other warped and wandering GoPers ! ! !

ImO you need to find a good strong tether and attach yourself to some Verified FACTS : Here is one for your consideration :

As a civilian living in a low gun-crime area, your chances of needing a firearm for your personal defense are not just microscopic, they are INFINITESIMAL ! ! !
