Teachers in charter schools are mostly recent college graduates in their first teaching jobs. As soon as possible, they quit when they get a better paying job in city schools.

What a stupid poll. how does anyone know how to rate it overall. most of the people that answer the polls don't have any school age kids. Who come up with these polls?

I know Mr. Stevenson and what he has done for our system has been great. What he is is a no nonsense leader who is not afraid to stand up and actually say no. For way to long our previous leaders would buckle under any pressure and would let parents and city leaders do whatever they wanted. We finally have leadership that has a backbones. Also, we are rated in top 1% in nation and we consistently rate in the top of all Lee county in a bunch of academic measures. How about a survey on the other Lee schools at the same time? Also please notice that those that complain are the same people over and over. I so appreciate being supported by administration. Keep being strong Mr. Stevenson and know that the silent majority have your back.

Charter schools are excellent, however, their issues belong with their board, not the City of Cape Coral commissioners. Stay out of their issues. If there are issues with how and when they use their support system, question those who run their financials on a daily basis through the system created. Don't think the system works, go before their board not the City Council.

The schools are great but the administration lacks oversight of funds and ability to be sure each student gets a fair hearings. No Child should be subjected to ridicule by the Superintendent. No Child should be blocked from receiving a fair hearing.

While there is always room for improvement, it should be noted our schools score continuously higher in Lee County and was just awarded the AdvancedEd award.
