When running for office, none of them talked about raising taxes or fees. Now they are in office they have changed their tune. It is time for them to go.

McClain & McGrail will have to go in November. The entire police & fire union will be out voting for them -- let's take control back to the average citizen. Your tax increase is going to fund 100K pensions for a bunch of "nice" guys. Did you get a 5% bonus this year?

48% vote D or F. I think an F is appropriate since Council took the lazy path and raised taxes. We will see what happens this fall at the polls.

A "C" for very average. Nothing too exciting for the city thus far, and not much to embarrass us either. But I will say that a monkey can also increase revenue by simply raising taxes. They need to get a little more creative.

Gee I rate them a D and compared to the grades 38% rated them an f for FAILURE. I knew I was probably to lenient!
The Slick 6 better council with their Public Relations Firm to see what damage control they can put in place.
If it were a legal situation they might consider an insanity plea!

djraal.. it was only 15-17 months ago that the past council(fab5) took the capital funds to 0% and stopped all growth in this city.Including the UEP. At least this council realizes that to move forward you have to diversify other revenue sources. If YOU cant afford to live in this city, then its time to look somewhere else. Our loss was the HERTZ Corp.In my humble opinion ,I feel that the mayor was the one that dropped the ball on this.He was the one representing this city and could have used incentives to steal them away or maybe if he had built a better relationship with the lee county commissioners, we could have at least been considered in the choices given!

Total failure, they have not been able to do one single thing to bring prosperity to the area. The only thing they have done is raising taxes on the property owners, and wasting more money, throw the bum's out in Nov. Limit the authority of the council at the same time.
