Property purchase paves way for Wingstop franchise

LandQwest Commercial Real Estate Services announced this week that FDR Real Estate Investment LLC recently purchased the 2,224-square-foot former Orion gas station at 2505 Santa Barbara Blvd., in Cape Coral, from Omac Real Estate, LLC for $550,000.

Frank Kupiec of LandQwest Commercial represented the Wingstop franchisee, with efforts to establish its first Cape Coral location. Kupiec previously represented the brand in all three of their Southwest Florida locations.

Wingstop Fort Myers is at 12011 S. Cleveland Ave., #2. There's also a Wingstop in Bonita Springs at 8951 Bonita Beach Road, Suite 265.

The buyer plans to convert the former gas station into the fast-casual chain, according to LandQwest, with easy access and strong street exposure along Santa Barbara.

"This acquisition represents the company's continued commitment to the Southwest Florida region," said Kupiec, senior broker associate for LandQwest Commercial in Naples. "This transaction highlights the strength of the local hospitality and retail market, in that restaurant deals are still getting done in the midst of a pandemic."

Stevens Construction begins work on Executive Medical Center in Naples

Stevens Construction has started construction of Executive Medical Center, a 27,773-square-foot, three-story addition with ambulatory surgery center and MRI, announced Mark Stevens, president, Stevens Construction, Inc.

Located at 4513 Executive Drive in Naples, the first floor of the addition will include medical offices, exam rooms and a new state-of-the-art MRI. The second floor will be a completely built-out medical office space available for full-time or part-time (time-share) lease starting in March 2021. The third floor will be an AHCA-licensed Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), which will include two operating rooms and two procedure rooms, pre-operating and recovery for outpatient services. The site will be expanded to accommodate the increased square footage for staff and patients along with all required site amenities, including a covered porte cochere, atrium cafe and an emergency generator for the surgery center.

Stevens Construction is building the project while the adjacent existing medical office remains occupied.

The Stevens Construction team includes project manager, Jon Zander; superintendent, JJ Slaugh; and project administrator, Angie Sugg. Studio+ is the architect of record.
