Perez chalks up another hat trick as Mariner rolls

Boys soccer

Mariner 8, Port Charlotte 0: Make it four hat tricks in four games for U.S. Naval Academy commit Leo Perez, giving him 12 goals on the season. The Tritons also posted their fourth shutout. Sean Paul Negron scored twice, and Jason Arias, Santi Guerrero and Marcel Tovar added goals as well. Mariner is home against Fort Myers today.

Island Coast 3, Dunbar 1: The Gators eaned their first win of the season (1-3) and evened their District 5A-11 mark at 1-1. Island Coast is idle until Dec. 2 against Gateway Charter.

Cape Coral 3, Cypress Lake 1: The Seahawks are 4-0-1, including 2-0 in District 5A-11. Cape Coral has tournament games scheduled for today and Saturday.

Lehigh 3, North Fort Myers 1: Freshman Daniel Jaquiss scored for the Red Knights (0-3, 0-1 District 5A-11). After a Thanksgiving break, North travels to Riverdale on Dec. 4.

Girls soccer

Bishop Verot 8, Seacrest Country Day 0: The Vikings are 1-1-1 with the victory. Bishop Verot plays Fort Myers on Dec. 3.

Dunbar 9, Island Coast 1: Island Coast (0-4) faces Gateway Charter on Dec. 2.

North Fort Myers 8, South Fort Myers 0: Emilee Hauser scored four times to lead North (4-0, 3-0 District 5A-11). Michelle Horan had two goals, Hannah Billhorn and Taylor Metzger a goal and an assist each, Makenzy Dupree made two assists, and Alexa Lara and Emily Guzman each contributed an assist. North has outscored its opponents 24-1. The Red Knights are off until Dec. 3, when they travel to Riverdale.

Girls basketball

Lely 46, Cape Coral 43: The Seahawks are off to a slow start, having lost their first two games of the season. Cape Coral travels to Port Charlotte on Monday.

Community School of Naples 42, Oasis 33: The Sharks (3-1) fell for the first time this season, while CSN remained perfect (3-0). Oasis is home Dec. 2 against Bishop Verot.
