Foundation for Lee County Public Schools's supply drive a success

The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools Inc. held its annual Back to School Supply Drive from June 25 July 20 at several participating locations throughout Lee County and at the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools. Donations benefitted the Foundation's Education Resource Center which provides Lee County School District educators access to new and reusable classroom supplies at no cost. Thanks to the efforts made by local businesses and individuals, The Back to School Supply Drive raised over thousands of supplies for local students and educators.

"Our team wanted to participate in this drive because we feel it is important not only to give back to the community, but to give back to our local teachers. Educators invest their love, their patience, and of course their knowledge to help mold the children of our future. Unfortunately, they also invest their own paychecks. We wanted to help make a difference, so that maybe this year they won't have to." said Mandah Lento, Dryzone, Inc.

The purpose of every initiative of The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools is to enhance and enrich the quality of public education in Lee County for students and educators. Every partnership helps us ensure that each student has an opportunity to reach their highest personal potential.

Participating sponsors included Aubuchon Homes (Cape Coral), B&I Contractors, Big Blue Brewing, Bonita Chamber of Commerce, Busey Bank (Fort Myers & Cape Coral), Caloosa Jeepers, Chico's FAS, CLA Assurance, Dryzone Inc., Edison National Bank/Bank of the Islands, Estero Chamber of Commerce, Firpta Solutions, First Bank (Fort Myers Branch), Florida Title One LLC, Fort Myers Miracle, Fred's Award World, Harbour Insurance, Hertz, Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa, Keiser University, Lee County Public Education Center, Lehigh Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club of Bonita, Markham, Norton, Mosteller, Wright & Co.
