CCFW meeting set for Sept. 10

Calusa Waterkeeper ranger advocate Holly D. Rauen, RN, will speak to the Cape Coral Friends of Wildlife Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m., at the Rotary Park Environmental Center. A retired midwife, public health nurse and seasoned social justice and environmental activist, she will discuss the water quality crisis and health impacts.

Rauen recently served on two Water-keeper Health Alert Summits and is part of the recent documentary "Troubled Waters" about cyanobacteria and the latest research about harmful algae blooms and their connection to Alzheimer's, Parkin-son's and liver disease.
