The sixth Grady-White Canyon 456 ever built was delivered to Fish Tale Boats recently, so colossal the million-dollar boat had to be lifted onto a trailer with a crane.

The 45-foot sport-fishing boat is Grady-White's largest center-console boat ever, a sportsman's dream machine with a beam of 14 feet, 50 fishing-rod holders, sophisticated navigation systems and luxury cabin where you can sleep and dine in air-conditioned comfort. The boat will be delivered to a client in South Cape Coral, so South-west Florida boaters might spot it in the water.

"Powered by four 425-horsepower Yamaha engines and a 616-gallon fuel tank, an overnight stay in the Florida Keys and the Bahamas is within easy reach of this ultimate center-console sport-fishing luxury craft that can hit top speeds near 50 knots," says Travis Fricke, vice president of operations at Fish Tale Boats.

A crane is used to lift the boat off of the semi that delivered it to Fish Tale Boats.

"It was really exciting for us to deliver Hull No. 6 of what is already a legendary boat," said Fricke. "The demand is so great for this Grady-White boat that you can't get one until the end of this year. It's the big machine."

The list of amenities and options on the Grady-White Canyon 456 reads more like those you might find on a luxury yacht than a sport-fishing boat. These include advanced navigational electronics, air-conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, a shower and sleeping quarters with a flat-screen 32-inch TV.

Billed as "the largest unsinkable boat of its kind," the Grady-White Canyon 456 is equipped with Seakeeper 6 technology that stabilizes vessels and eliminates up to 95 percent of boat rolls. The CZone digital-switching technology lets the captain power all the systems remotely, including electrical, heat and air. The helmsman can keep track of all systems and navigational points on the three 17-inch screens in the cockpit.

The three aft high fishing chairs have independently controlled seats and air-conditioning vents to keep passengers cool. A Garmin screen on the transom lets you monitor the boat's systems, track fish with an optional camera or even watch a live football game while you fish. A massive T-top and SureShade extension keep direct sun off the deck and the two 35-gallon live wells on port and starboard keep the bait lively so you can store your catch in the 459-quart freezer box fresh for the ride home.

Eat some of your freshly caught seafood by preparing it in the cockpit galley, which is equipped with a grill and fridge. Meanwhile, below deck prepare side dishes on the Corian countertop with a sink, stovetop, refrigerator and stainless-steel storage drawers. You can choose to enjoy your meal in air-conditioned comfort in the cabin, where the electromechanically controlled dining table rises and lowers to convert into a berth so you can rest comfortably after a full day of excitement on the water. Families will appreciate the enclosed head with full-sized shower and sink, with vertical storage for more fishing rods.
