Monday

Softball

Mariner 22, South Fort Myers 0 (3 innings): Madison Gervais doubled, scored twice and drove in three Tritons runs. Mariner (13-7) had only two hits, but drew 21 walks. Kennedy Burham and Alexis Baker walked four times each. Baker had two RBI, and six other Mariner batters had an RBI. Delicia Bent and Baker combined to hold the Wolfpack to one hit and one walk. The Tritons play Thursday at Bishop Verot.

Cape Coral 7, SW Florida Christian 4: The Seahawks (8-6) trailed 4-1 through four innings before rallying for the victory. SFCA dropped to 7-4. Cape has a home District 6A-11 game with Cypress Lake today.

Seacrest Country Day 29, Oasis 4 (4 innings): Seacrest (15-2-1), coached by former San Diego Padres' and Philadelphia Phillies' All-Star John Kruk, dominated the Sharks (2-9). Oasis has a District 4A-5 at Imagine School North Port on Tuesday.

Lehigh 11, Ida Baker 7: The Bulldogs are 1-13 going into a District 6A-11 game at Island Coast on Tuesday.

Friday

Baseball

Mariner 6, Cape Coral 0: Alex Freeland doubled and drove in two runs for the Tritons (15-1 8-0 District 6A-11). Jimmy Meredith worked six scoreless innings for the win, striking out six. Anthony Bautista and Gavin Walker each had an RBI for Mariner. Cape Coral fell to 4-10, 1-5.

Port Charlotte 3, Island Coast 2: The Pirates (10-5, 6-2 District 6A-11) edged the Gators (10-4, 4-2). Port Charlotte, which took two from the Gators this week, moved past Island Coast into second place in the district.

Sarasota Cardinal Mooney 10, Bishop Verot 2: Mooney 12-6,6-0 District 4A-5) solidified its lead in the district by completing a swppf of the Vikings (8-7, 4-2).

Fort Myers 9, North Fort Myers 6: The Red Knights (3-10) led 5-2 early, but the Green Wave (9-4) rallied for the win.

North Port Imagine 5, Oasis 1: Imagine (6-8, 1-5) got its first District 4A-5 win, getting revenge for a loss to Oasis (5-4, 1-3) earlier in the week.

Ida Baker 8, Cypress Lake 3: The Bulldogs evened their District 6A-11 record at 3-3 (8-5 overall). Cypress Lake dropped to 7-10, 2-6. Ida Baker's next game is Tuesday at home against Island Coast,

Softball

Cypress Lake 24, Ida Baker 11 (5 innings): Justine Robbins and Alexis Dick had four RBI each for Cypress Lake (7-8-1, 4-4 District 6A-11), dropping Ida Baker to 1-12, 0-8.

Fort Myers 18, North Fort Myers 0 (4 innings): The Red Knights were no-hit while allowing 19 hits and committing five errors. Fort Myers (13-3) was coming off a stinging home upset by Venice, taking its frustration out on North (9-7). Three Red Knights reached base on walks. North Fort Myers (6-1 District 6A-11) is home Tuesday for a district game with Port Charlotte (7-6, 5-3).

Thursday

Softball

Mariner 14, Cape Coral 3 (5 innings): The Tritons (12-7, 9-1 District 6A-11) swept the two-game series from the Seahawks (7-6, 3-5). Alexis Baker went 3-for-3 with a home run and a triple, scored three times and drove in three runs. Delicia Bent and Hannah Holloway had two RBI each, and Madison Gervais scored three runs for Mariner. Holloway allowed three runs on three hits over five innings while striking out nine and not walking a batter. Cape plays at Southwest Florida Christian on Monday, while Mariner will be at South Fort Myers.

Baseball

Loganville (Ga.) Grayson 3, Island Coast 1: Three errors were costly for the Gators (10-3), who lost despite allowing only three hits. The score was 1-all until the top of the seventh, when Grayson scored two unearned runs. Mason Schwiezer drove in the Island Coast run. The Gators have a District 6A-11 game at Port Charlotte. Island Coast is 4-1 in district play and the Pirates are 9-5, 5-2.
