Safe boating courses continue in April, May

Classes offered by the Cape Coral Sail and Power Squadron

The Cape Coral Sail and Power Squadron has multiple upcoming courses to fit your boating needs. For new boaters and new to the area boaters, the America's Boating Course is recommended. This class provides students a variety of lessons, such as local boating regulations, required safety equipment, rules of the road and who has the right of way on the water.

Signing up and attending is as easy as ABC:

Come in person to the Cape Coral Sail and Power Squadron, anytime between 9 and noon, Monday through Saturday, at 917 S.E. 47th Terrace.

Attend this six-night course Monday and Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9:30.

Participants are eligible for membership and additional courses after successful completion of ABC.

The Power Squadron has well trained and experienced instructors, many insurance companies will give a discount if you successfully complete the course. Upon graduation, you will receive the Florida Boater Certificate.

A nominal fee is charged for this course and can be paid at the Squadron when booking your course.

All classes below are held on Monday and Wednesday night.

April 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, and 17

May 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, and 22

The Cape Coral Sail and Power Squadron is a unit of the United States Power Squadrons Inc. (USPS), the world's largest non-profit educational boating safety organization. It is one of USPS District 22's 18 Squadrons on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The Power Squadron's primary objective is the promotion of boating safety through education.
