Gulf Breeze Bob Club dance Feb. 8

The Gulf Breeze Bob Club will hold its next dance Friday, Feb. 8, at the Estero Elks Club, 3231 Coconut Road, Estero. The deejay for the dance will be Jane Harrington from Tampa. She is a member of the American Bop Association Hall of Fame. The dance instructors for the evening will be Mike and Debbie Lapina from Chicago. They, too, are members of the American Bob Association Hall of Fame.

Dance lessons start at 6:30 p.m. with admission fee of $10 for members and $15 for guests. Annual memberships are $35 per person. Open dancing runs from 7:15-9:30 p.m.

The Gulf Breeze Bob Club is a not-for-profit club with membership and dance fees supporting dance activities. The club's dances are open to the public. Food and drinks are available on site (no drinks or food can be brought into the dance.)

The group will also hold a dance Friday, Feb. 22, featuring deejay Bud Walters of St. Louis, Missouri, the president of the American Bob Association, and dance instructor Karen Ramage of Kentucky, a member of the National Living Legends of Dance.

In addition, on March 9, there will be a 2-hour workshop taught by the Lapinas. The workshop is free to members and $25 for guests.
