Club Square will be turned into a winter wonderland Saturday evening for the free Vineyard White Christmas event.

"We love the city. Love our community. We love getting to share some fun events with everybody," Executive Pastor Jason Williams said. "Everybody is welcome. It's going to be a lot of fun and a great night."

He said this is their white Christmas, so they are having 15,000 tons of "snow" brought in for the evening.

"We are going to have a giant sledding slide for guests," he said.

Vineyard Community Church's White Christmas will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at the church at 923 S.E. 47th Terrace.

The event will also include a live manger scene, which will include a little show for attendees.

There will be free coffee, hot chocolate, popcorn, funnel cake, soup and sandwiches.

Games and crafts will also be provided for families to enjoy.

Williams said they will have a remembrance wall, named Blue Christmas. The space will be provided to remember and celebrate family members and friends who are no us.

"It's a difficult season if you dealt with loss," Williams said.
