Imagine Wellness Spa is celebrating the second anniversary of its Del Prado Boulevard location next month, showcasing some new equipment.

Carleen Murone began her business in a 600-foot studio where she rented out one of the rooms to a body wrapper, who remained with her and is now a massage therapist. Her business, Imagine Wellness Spa, now occupies almost 3,300 square feet, at 1404 Del Prado Blvd., Suite 100.

"I have created a very collaborative working environment with independent contractors working under my brand," she explained, adding that they all share the same values, principals, goals and mission. "I have empowered them to run their own business. When I opened my business when I moved down here in 2013, I didn't know anyone. I knew how to run a business. I had been doing it for other people."

In the industry, Murone said a lot of practitioners come out of school and know their trade, but do not know how to make money at the career.

"I mentor them and bring them up alongside of me," she said, which oftentimes includes sharing clients with the different services offered at the spa. "We all work together and we share clients and create a great environment. Our clients love it."

Murone's business began with on-location makeup in the wedding industry before evolving into a wellness and therapeutic day spa. She is a licensed esthetician, licensed tattoo artist specializing in micropigmentation for eyebrows, certified in oncology esthetics and is a professional makeup artist and photographer.

Imagine Wellness Spa, Murone said, includes her two employees - spa coordinator and spa manager - as well as seven other contractors. She is currently in the process of interviewing a massage therapist to join the team.

"We are very faith based with how we work with our clients," she said. "We will pray with our clients."

Murone said they are faith based because she could not have grown her business without God.

"This is so much bigger and nothing like I had envisioned," she said of her business.

To celebrate the second anniversary at her new location, and showcase new equipment she as acquired, an open house and happy hour will be held from noon to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, at the spa. The new equipment includes the nationally trending Cryoskin 3.0 treatments and the world-renowned Cocoon Wellness Pro Infrared Sauna Pod.

Murone said the Cryoskin 3.0 reduces fat through heat and cold therapy, which delivers instant results. Fat cells are destroyed, as well as the reduction of cellulite, with the equipment. In addition, non-nonsurgical facelifts can be done.

The machine arrived at the spa right before Thanksgiving and the clients who have used it have lost a half inch onward in the specific area they worked on that day.

"The body continues to metabolize the fat cells for several weeks," she explained.

Cryoskin, she said, found her through an email and she is now working in conjunction with the company.

Murone is providing a 15 percent discount for a five-session Cryoskin 3.0 package to the first 20 clients who schedule an appointment.

The other machine that is being featured is the Cocoon Wellness Pro Infrared Sauna Pod, which Murone said is amazing for pain management. The machine provides a relaxing dry heat sauna, as well as a dual-wave massage vibration system, salt therapy chamber and aromatherapy device. In addition, dynamic resistance bands are included to accommodate high-intensity interval training exercises.

"I've been wanting to do something with Infrared for several years. I had one room I wanted to devote to it," she said. "People can do their thing with the equipment. I thought it was perfect."

Introductory packages are offered for the pod.

Murone said between the hours of 12 to 4 p.m., Jan. 9, they will provide different demonstrations, as well as offer mini services, so people can have an idea of how to spend their gift cards.

"At the open house the vendors will be here and will be doing demonstrations,"" she said.

From 4 to 6 p.m., cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

In addition to the open house, a training session for estheticians, permanent makeup artists and medical esthetic workers will be held Jan. 20 and Jan. 21. The sessions will feature the K85 Beierplasm Fibroblast Lift Plasma Pen.

"That is a technique that just came to us from Europe," she said.
