CCCIA to hold ACE Awards and Holiday Party Dec. 14

December 6, 2018

Industry leaders in the community will trade in their work boots for sharp suits-Great Gatsby style.

The Cape Coral Construction Industry Association will hold its annual ACE Awards and Holiday Party on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. at The Westin Cape Coral Resort. The recognitions acknowledge and celebrate those who have excelled in their field and celebrate the year that was.

"The event is recognize those that have gone above and beyond with the CCCIA and the community itself," said CCCIA Executive Director and CEO Bill Johnson Jr.

The association has recognized industry leaders for more than 30 years, the theme this year being F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel.

Awards for "Contractor of the Year," "Sub Contractor-Supplier of the Year" and "Affiliate of the Year" will be distributed based on nominations and votes, followed by a final decision from a panel of past winners.

"The fact that businesses are recognizing other businesses for their great work is what makes this event so special," said Johnson.

Finalists for "Contractor of the Year" are Aubuchon Homes, Holiday Builders and Paul Homes.

Finalists for "Sub Contractor-Supplier of the Year" are All Power Electric, Honc Industries and Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers.

Finalists for "Affiliate of the Year" are Achieve Credit Union, Brand1 Inc. and Premier Insurance Corporation.

CCCIA presidents serve one-year terms, and the current president, Ed Ramos of Ramos Builders, will also recognize those who have played a vital role during his tenure.

"It's great to see all of our members together, in a relaxed setting, getting to mingle and enjoying the holiday season," said Johnson. "It's an opportunity to celebrate with each other over the year that was and what we're looking forward to in

2019."

Both the event and CCCIA have found steady growth over the years-not without its ebbs and flows, of course, said Johnson, who is grateful for the organization's many members and continual improvements.

The event is also a great opportunity to introduce potential members to what the CCCIA is all about, Johnson said.

Tickets are $85 and can be purchased at www.cccia.org.

The Westin Resort Cape Coral is at 5951 Silver Kings Boulevard.
