Filer joins LOTUS Architecture

LOTUS Architecture has announced the addition of a new team member, Annette Filer. She received her bachelor's degree in architecture in 1988 from the University of Miami.

Her 30 years of experience consists of working on projects with the Miami Dade aviation department, Miami Dade Public School Board and Library projects for Miami Dade government. Her background in custom residential projects includes recovery from Hurricane Andrew and creation of new HUD homes in the aftermath.

GCM Contracting Solutions promotes Lewis to vice president of construction

GCM Contracting Solutions, a design-build general contractor based in Fort Myers, has promoted Rudley Lewis to the position of vice president of construction.

Lewis has 35 years of experience in the construction industry, joining GCM in February as a project manager. He previously served as an executive operations manager and project executive in New York for nearly two decades.

As vice president of construction, Lewis will be responsible for day-to-day construction operations, creating and managing budgets, writing contracts, helping to design construction plans and maintaining a hands-on role in the construction management process. He also will hire project managers and supervise the project management team.

Lewis graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree in construction management.
