Total Music Source grand opening today

Total Music Source will be holding its grand opening today, Nov. 2, with a benefit concert from 7-10 p.m., featuring the Thomas Nichols Band with an acoustic concert and VIP meet and greet.

The event will include live performances, free giveaways and raffles. Proceeds from the event will support #ADYNSTRONG

Total Music Source is at 901 East Industrial Circle, Cape Coral, FL 33909. The store's new state of the art showroom features a large selection of retail musical instruments, accessories, professional instructors and a sound stage.

It also is a full service repair shop and offers rental and engineering services.

Store hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday.

Southwest Florida Yachts and Florida Sailing & Cruising School move to new office

Southwest Florida Yachts and Florida Sailing & Cruising School have a new office location and address within the Promenade at Tarpon Point Marina in Cape Coral.

The new office address is 5991 Silver King Boulevard, Unit 108, Cape Coral, FL 33914. There are no changes to telephone numbers or web addresses for either company.

Co-owners Barb and Vic Hansen will be celebrating the 35th anniversary of Southwest Florida Yachts and Florida Sailing & Cruising School in 2019.

Old Soul Brewing to host 4th Annual Miles of Soul Music Fest Nov. 9-10

Old Soul Brewing will present the 4th Annual Miles of Soul Music Fest Friday, Nov. 9, from 6 p.m. to midnight, and Saturday, Nov. 10, from 4 p.m. "until the party ends."

Six bands will be performing. Friday's lineup features The Electric Mud, Feeled Trip and SOWFLO. On Saturday, Local Aquatic, Kate Skales and The Freecoasters will take the stage.

Tickets for the Friday show are $15, and $10 for Saturday.

Onsite food will be provided by Carbellos and Hangar Management.

Proceeds from the music fest will benefit Miles Ranch, a not-for-profit foundation that provides free equine assisted psychotherapy and equine assisted learning programs for Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom veterans suffering with post traumatic stress disorder. Gartner client services leaders to headline Leadership NEXT program

Several client services leaders from Gartner Inc. will offer advancing business leaders insight into the thriving IT advisory company during the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce's Leadership NEXT program in November.

The two-hour session begins at 5:15 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Building 2 of Gartner's Southwest Florida headquarters, 12651 Gateway Blvd. in Fort Myers.

Two key members of Gartner's leadership team are teaming up to provide attendees with an overview of the company's history and services: Michael Chalk, group vice president of premium services, and Jennifer Straley, vice president of client partner organizations supporting end-user clients. Chalk has worked with Gartner for 20 years, while Straley's career with Gartner has spanned 15 years.

Whittle joins Henderson Franklin as shareholder

The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., has announced that Attorney Russell S. Whittle has joined the firm as a shareholder in the Worker's Compensation Department.

Whittle has been representing the interests of insurers and employers in the defense of workers' compensation and liability matters in Florida for nearly 30 years. His varied experience also includes serving as senior staff counsel for a Medicare compliance company, general counsel for an insurance company focusing on the professional employer organization market, and as a title insurance company attorney.
