Cape Community Foundation to honor 10

The efforts of generous, kind and honorable individuals in Southwest Florida will soon be recognized at the Generous Cape Reception. The Cape Coral Com-munity Foundation will celebrate 10 friends of the foundation Wednesday, Nov. 14, from 6-8 p.m., at the Palmetto-Pine Country Club at 1940 S.W. 9th Court in Cape Coral.

These individuals have dedicated their time, talent and treasure to improving Lee County through various community en-deavors and have made an immense impact on the city of Cape Coral through the foundation.

The following community influencers will be recognized at the fundraising event:

Elmer Tabor, Wonderland Realty

Karen Mosteller, Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company, PA

Bob Knight, Paul Homes

Donna Caruso, DJC Insurance

Joe Padgett, LCEC (retired)

The Rev. Dr. Tim Halverson, Faith Presbyterian Church

Donna Giannuzzi, Lee Health (retired)

Steve Pohlman, city of Cape Coral Parks & Recreation (retired)

David Gomer, Retired Banking Executive and Donor Advisor at Cape Coral Community Foundation

Ivan Gorr, Retired Business Exec-utive and Donor Advisor at Cape Coral Community Foundation

David Erickson, president & CEO of ECHO, a North Fort Myers-based organization dedicated to fighting world hunger through innovative options and agricultural training, will deliver a keynote address.

Funds raised at the event will benefit the Cape Coral Community Foundation's Nonprofit Education Fund, a program that gives local nonprofit organization's staff, board of directors and volunteers the opportunity to receive educational training and resources that will help them learn how to raise even more to benefit the community.
