Family owned and operated A&E Paint Center open on Pine Island Road

A&E Paint Centers has branched out of Charlotte County to open its third store, this one in Cape Coral, conveniently located off Pine Island Road.

A&E Paint is family owned and operated, and store owner Nikki Young and her brothers are in the process of succeeding their parents, who started the business back in 2006.

A&E Paint decided to set up shop here in Lee County in order to fill the need for a specialized paint provider in the Cape Coral/Fort Myers area.

Young expects to attract locals to A&E Paint with her knowledgeable and experienced staff in the paint industry.

"Our dedication to customer service really sets us apart from our competitors," she said.

DIY (do it yourself) projects are becoming increasingly popular in the home improvement industry. This is largely due to the housing bubble a decade ago, as homeowners now take on projects themselves in order to save money. Because of this, everyday people are looking more and more toward home industry suppliers for "how to" advice.

While larger chains may paint over your problems with a broad brush, A&E Paint takes a hands-on approach to give DIY-ers exactly what they're looking for: customization.

"We can custom color match anything in a home, just bring the article in, and we can match it," said Young, who assures her experienced and knowledgeable staff can make recommendations that box stores cannot. "Our attention to detail is unmatched and our prices are very competitive with the big box stores."

But just in case you're wondering what else A&E Paint has on larger retailers, the new store carries several different lines of paint, so they've got the product for any job.

And speaking of jobs, the contracting and construction industry play a giant role in the fast developing city of Cape Coral. Because local businesses tend to thrive on meaningful relationships, paint contractors and property management companies are at an advantage now that there's a real mom-and-pop shop in town.

"We are the only locally owned and operated paint dealer in the area," said Young. "If you care about supporting local business, we are your store!"

Located at 1020 N.E. Pine Island Road, #310, in Cape Coral, A&E Paint is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The company's other two locations are in Charlotte Harbor at 4760 Tamiami Trail (941-875-9901) and Port Charlotte North at 2160 El Jobean Road (941-624-4111).

For additional information, call 239-984-5444 and ask for Nikki.
