Robert Anthony Carrillo, Sr., 79, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 23 years, formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Cape Coral surrounded by his family. He was born January 31, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Jesse and Marion Carrillo, now deceased.

Robert was a retired General Foreman in the construction industry out of Chicago Local 269 for 41 years. He attended First Christian Church of Cape Coral. He was a man who put his family's needs before his own. Robert loved to cook and work in his house, yard and garden. He was an avid Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks and Bulls fan. He loved to sit in the garage and listen to the radio, talking to his family and neighbors. He touched the lives of many people with his love, kindness, generosity and his dry sense of humor. His greatest passion in life was caring for his wife and family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Lydia Carrillo of Cape Coral; five loving children, Elizabeth Morrow (Kevin) of Fort Myers, FL, Faye Winter (Randy) of Chicago, IL, Jesse Carrillo (Helen) of IN, Michael Carrillo (Denise) of Cape Coral, and Christine Carrillo of Naples, FL; sister, Sylvia Rich of IN; two brothers in law, Richard Resendez of TX and Raul Saenz of Chicago, IL; eleven grandchildren, Robin, Andrea, Lydia, Bobby, Kevin, Brandon, Megan, Christopher, Matthew, Emma, and Sedora; nine great grandchildren, Roxxo, Harley, Azura, Thomas, Barrett, Brooke, Abigail, James and Korben; as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by a son, Robert Carrillo, Jr.; and two sisters, Diane Saenz and Toni Resendez.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2018 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Dr. Keith Krueger officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Memorial Contributions in memory of Robert Anthony Carrillo, Sr., are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
