SRMA hosts After Hours Social at Palm City Brewing Company

Several dozen manufacturers attended the Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association After Hours Social on Aug. 15 at Palm City Brewing Company in San Carlos Park. Southwest Florida manufacturing professionals connected with regional manufacturers and expanded their resource network. Attendees also took a tour of the brewery to see how beer is manufactured.

The SRMA links manufacturers with a highly skilled workforce, helps them stay up to date with the latest technology, and promotes the business of manufacturing. The association regularly organizes informational workshops, symposiums and other activities like the After Hours Social to engage members and enhance their benefits.

Qureshi joins Henderson Franklin law firm

The law firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A., recently announced that Attorney Sara Qureshi has joined the firm's Business & Tax Department. Women in Business meeting to feature Minaya's 'Developing Your Whole Self' program

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee will host a networking meeting from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 5, at IBERIABANK, located at 9101 College Pointe Court in Fort Myers.

Susan Minaya will present on the subject of "Developing Your Whole Self." Minaya is the COO and Chief Learning Strategist of Minaya Learning Global Solutions LLC, a training and education products and services company providing Fortune 500 companies around the globe, nonprofit organizations, and higher education institutions.

Minaya will share research, some practical perspectives, and success stories of developing the whole self and bring to light the glue that holds it all together.

Pareigis interim president, CEO of Southwest Florida Economic Development Alliance

The board of directors of the Southwest Florida Economic Development Alliance has named Susan Pareigis as interim president and CEO of the regional organization.

Most recently, Pareigis served 10 years as president and CEO of the Florida Council of 100 following four years as Gov. Jeb Bush's appointed secretary of the Agency for Workforce Innovation. Pareigis previously was president and CEO of the Economic Development Council of Collier County and served in international business development at the Lee County Office of Economic Development.

Representing Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry and Glades counties, the Southwest Florida Economic Development Alliance serves as a non-parochial economic development coordinator to site selectors, real estate consultants and targeted companies, working in collaboration with local economic development organizations.
