SWFL Home Watch Pros earns accredited member status with NationalHome Watch Association

SWFL Home Watch Pros has earned accredited member status from the National Home Watch Association for the second year. The NHWA was formed in 2009 in order to establish and maintain the highest industry standards for Home Watch and absentee homeowner services throughout the United States and Canada ( Home Watch is a service that "keeps an eye on things" at your vacation or primary home while you are not in residence.

'Hot Summer Nights' Hafla

The "Hot Summer Nights" Hafla belly dance show presented by the Belly Dance & Hula Connection will be held Saturday, Aug. 25, at Rhythm in Motion, 912 Del Prado Blvd., S, Cape Coral.

Enjoy an exotic evening of Mediterranean food and a belly dance show, featuring over two dozen dancers in a variety of group and solo performances.

Airline passenger count climbs in July at RSW

During July, 561,039 passengers traveled through Southwest Florida Interna-tional Airport in Fort Myers, an increase of 5.8 percent compared to July 2017. Year-to-date, passenger traffic is up 5.2 percent from the same period last year.

The traffic leader in July was Delta Air Lines with 137,944 passengers traveling to and from Fort Myers. Rounding out the top five airlines were Southwest (113,633), American (98,486), JetBlue (68,957) and United (46,648).

Southwest Florida Inter-national Airport had 4,721 aircraft operations, a de-crease of 2.2 percent compared to July 2017. Page Field saw 7,097 operations, a 6.2 percent increase from July 2017.

In addition, slightly more than 2.3 million pounds of air freight moved through Southwest Florida International Airport in July 2018.

Southwest Florida Inter-national Airport served more than 8.8 million passengers in 2017 and is one of the top 50 U.S. airports for passenger traffic.
