Gladiolus Learning and Development Center has received a $10,000 grant from Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to support their Kids Care Program, which for more than 20 years has provided low-income families access to four-star early education programs that prepare children for public school.

This grant will be used to help families who are on the subsidized childcare waitlist. Two-thirds of children at GLAD during the academic year receive funding from this program.

GLAD is a nonprofit organization serving the Harlem Heights community in South Fort Myers where the students are free to grow, learn and thrive emotionally, developmentally, socially and academically. GLAD was recently acknowledged as a Preferred Pre-K Provider by the Lee County Public School System.
