Tre Boston Beyond Belief Foundation to hold football camp June 30

The Tre Boston Beyond Belief Foundation will hold its 1st Annual Football Camp Saturday, June 30, at North Fort Myers High School, 5000 Orange Grove Blvd., North Fort Myers.

Boston, a North Fort Myers High standout who played four years of college football at North Carolina, is a free agent safety who started his NFL career with the Carolina Panthers, playing three seasons for the Panthers,

Last year he signed with and started 15 games for the San Diego Chargers, recording a career high 79 tackles, eight passes defended and five interceptions.

Boston, along with other current and former NFL players - a volunteer staff of 50, will conduct the free, one-day camp from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration runs from 9-10 a.m.

The camp is open to youngsters from 8-17 years of age, and 200-250 students are expected to attend, according to camp organizers.

The students will learn athletic skills, but the main focus will be safety, prevention, the importance of education and life choices. Other topics like bike safety, pool safety, playing in contaminated rain water and other hazards, will also be discussed.
