Oasis 20, Dunbar 5 (5): Trey Siciliano and Anthony Catella had three RBI each to pace the Sharks. Steven Salamida (2-2) got the win on the mound. Only one of Dunbar's five runs against him were earned. Salamida allowed five hits and walk while striking out three. Oasis (11-3) plays Wednesday against North Fort Myers.

Fort Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons 10, Bishop Verot 0: Cardinal Gibbons (10-3) dropped the Vikings to 4-9 on the first day of the Catholic Challenge at Bishop Verot.

Oasis 13, Marco Island Academy 0: Justin Brooks (4-1) earned the win for Oasis (10-3), going six shutout innings, striking out seven while holding Marco to two hits and a walk. The Sharks' 13-hit attack was paced by Peyton Palmer (two hits, two RBI), Ryan DeWitt (two RBI, a run scored), and Nick Olivera, Dennis Talarico and Lewis Evans with two hits each. Oasis' next game is Monday at Dunbar.

Avon Park 8, Island Coast 0: Tough road game for the Gators (11-2), getting shut out at Avon Park (12-3-1) on Friday. Island Coast is home against Ida Baker on Tuesday.

North Fort Myers 18, Cypress Lake 3 (3): The Red Knights scored 10 times in the second inning and seven more in the third. Nine walks and four Panthers errors combined with 10 North hits to bring the game to an early conclusion. Alexis Marino had two hits, including a triple, drove in four runs and scored twice for North Fort Myers (15-3, 10-0 District 6A-11). Taylor Rosciti had two hits, two RBI and three runs scored; Kirsten Gnagey had a hit, scored twice and drove in two; Alexis Morris had three RBI; Haley Weaver scored two and drove in two; and Julia Herrmann had two RBI. Freshman pitcher Sydney Morris (7-1) struck out six and allowed two hits. North, which is close to wrapping up the top seed in the district tournament, plays Tuesday at Mariner.

Mariner 7, Ida Baker 3: Yasmine Halaby had three hits for the Tritons (11-5, 7-1 District 6A-11). Mariner pitcher Hannah Holloway struck out nine batters. Mariner maintained its hold on second place in the district heading into a home-and-home with first-place North Fort Myers next week. Ida Baker fell to 0-16, 0-9 with the loss.

Baseball

Cape Coral 5, Port Charlotte 2: Brandon Dye, Ashton Hilliard, Matt McDade and Spencer Roach drove in runs for the Seahawks (11-3, 6-2 District 6A-11). Cape's Daniel Valdez went 2-for-4, scored a run and stole two bases. Andrew Jaffarian pitched six innings for Cape Coral, and Allen Guerrero worked a scoreless seventh inning.

North Fort Myers 9, Cypress Lake 8: The Red Knights broke out of a slump, handing Cypress Lake its first district loss. North (7-7, 5-5 District 6A-11) got revenge for a loss Tuesday to the Panthers (10-4, 5-1).

Mariner 6, Ida Baker 0: Donnie Goodman pitched five scoreless innings for the win, with Louis Alberro working two innings of relief. Alberro (3-for-4 at the plate), Goodman, Alex Freeland, Xzavien Torres and Jimmy Meredith all drove in runs during the Tritons' five-run first inning. Alberro also had an RBI in the sixth inning. Mariner is 5-8, 2-6 in District 6A-11. Austin Crothers took the loss for Ida Baker (8-7, 2-4).
