Updated: Cape police cancels alert for missing teen

The Cape Coral Police Department has reported on its Facebook page that the alert for Marie Thaina Jourdain, 16, has been canceled. She has been found safe and sound and returned home.

The Cape Coral Police Department has issued an alert for a missing Cape Coral teen. The alert was issued early Friday morning.

According to the CCPD, Marie Thaina Jourdain, 16, a black female standing 5 feet tall and weighing 100 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, left her home in the 1500 block of Northeast 33rd Lane for school around 5:40 a.m. Thursday, March 29, and has not been seen or heard from since.

The CCPD noted that she normally returns home from school around 2 p.m. She does not have a cell phone and does not drive a vehicle, and her latest clothing description is unknown.
