Metro Diner now hiring staff for new downtown Cape restaurant

Metro Diner, a diner offering classic comfort food with flair, will be opening its doors in Cape Coral in late-April. The eatery, which will feature dishes made from scratch, award-winning presentations, unique recipes and imaginative twists on old classics, is now hiring more than 100 Cape Coral-area residents.

Applications to join the Metro Diner team are being accepted for all positions including servers, hosts, cooks and kitchen staff.

Florida Skin Center earmarks

organizations for donations

Florida Skin Center will donate $15,000 this year to several charitable causes, including $7,000 to four local organizations - Crowning Daughters for Success, Children's Advocacy Center, Community in Harmony Initiative (Gulfshore Opera), and Dress for Success - as part of the launch of its "Dermatology from the Heart" program.

Florida Skin Center has committed to sponsoring Crowning Daughters for Success's six-week Program of Empowerment for minority students.

Additionally, center founder Anais Aurora Badia, M.D., D.O., and her staff are also slated to sponsor the Bling & Bags Bingo Fundraiser for the Children's Advocacy Center. This annual event targets college-educated professional and executive-level women between the ages of 35 and 50 from Lee County.

Finally, Florida Skin Center will sponsor a fundraiser for the Community in Harmony Initiative - Gulfshore Opera's social engagement programs for disadvantaged youths..

'The Value of Volunteerism'

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Committee will host its next networking meeting from 46 p.m., Wednesday, April 4, at The Burroughs Home at 2505 First St, Fort Myers, FL 33901.

This month's WIB event will focus on "The Value of Volunteerism," while providing open networking for local professionals.

Marc Collins of Carroll Properties and Kelly Fayer, PA, will cover the benefits of community involvement and the importance of donating time and talent.

Pediatric Dentistry of Florida, Dr. Tim M. Verwest, DMD & Associates have hired Donald Crispen as office manager. Crispen will be responsible for daily operations and management of the Fort Myers location.
