Lee BIA Builders Care announces sponsors, vendors for ninth annual BBQ, Bands & Brew

Lee BIA Builders Care, the nonprofit charitable arm of the Lee Building Industry Association, has released its initial list of sponsors and vendors for the ninth annual BBQ, Bands & Brew on April 8.

All Star Equipment Rentals & Sales is this year's presenting sponsor for the fundraising event, which features live music from local headlining bands paired with food and drinks provided by local restaurants and vendors.

Stevens Construction completes Marlins Plaza

Stevens Construction has completed the construction management services of Marlins Plaza, located at 5631 Six Mile Commercial Court, announced Dan Adams, vice president south Florida and partner.

The project included the construction of Marlins Plaza, a 14,665-square-foot commercial shell building. Stevens Construction also completed construction on two of the nine tenant spaces, Marlins Brewhouse and Chronic Taco, which opened Wednesday, March 7.

With 110-seats, Marlins Brewhouse provides a menu of local craft beers, wine and pub fare. Headquartered in California, Chronic Tacos offers a fast-casual concept with an organic and non-GMO menu featuring tacos, burritos, quesadillas and bowls. This is the first Chronic Tacos in Southwest Florida.

Mason earns AWS certification

B & I Contractors' Matt Mason has received the American Welding Society Welding Inspector certification, an-nounced Gary Griffin, president of B & I., a Florida based subcontracting and building services firm. The certification is a 6-day course, followed by an 8-hour test.

Mason began his career with B & I in 2001 and has over 18-years of experience in commercial and industrial piping. His duties include the supervision and coordination of workers engaged in fabricating, assembling and installing piping and equipment for industrial process piping, steam, hydronic heating, and cooling and condenser water systems.

Mason determines the appropriate material and manpower required to ensure a good rate of production and efficiency.

Mamprejew promoted to senior plumbing estimator
