Charlotte 11, Bishop Verot 9: The Vikings (2-2) scored nine runs in the third inning for a 9-2 lead, but Charlotte answered with nine in the top of the fourth. Bishop Verot freshman Evan Ames was 2-for-4 with three RBI, while sophomore Zach Thomas went 2-for-4 and also drove in a run.

Mariner 7, Bonita Springs 0: The Tritons face LaBelle on Wednes-day and North Fort Myers on Thursday. Tuesday's results: Teddy Perchall (M) d. Nico Baird 6-4, 6-2; Yeni Win (M) d. Oscar Gonzales 6-0, 6-0; Xavier Dejesus (M) d. Zeke Perez 6-0, 6-0; Esteban Orjuela (M) d. Nicolas Carparan 6-0, 6-0. Doubles: Jay Rusch and Sergio Zartae (M) d. Perez/;Carparan 8-0; X. Dejesus/Christian Dejesus (M) d. Baird/Gonzalez 8-4.

Girls Tennis

Mariner 3, Bonita Springs 2: The Tritons were led by Kara Perchall, who defeated Jasmine Tran 6-1, 6-0; Danyella Orjuela, who downed Kelly Nguyen 6-0, 6-0; and the doubles team of Morgan Russell and Rosio Gorrita, who beat Tran and Nguyen 8-2.


North Fort Myers 15, Cape Coral 3 (6): Freshman pitcher Sydney Morris struck out eight for the Red Knights. Natavia Ellis had three hits, three RBI and three runs scored, while Haley Weaver had two hits and scored three times. Also for North, Sajarie Jones had two hits and three runs, Emma Johnson scored twice and drove in three runs, and Alexia Morris had two RBI.

Mariner 13, Island Coast 4: Tritons junior Hannah Holloway struck out 16 Gators in the victory. Ariana Cruz led the offense, going 4-for-4 with three RBI, and Kannedy Burnham had three hits.


Oasis 13, Golden Gate 0: Dennis Talarico (2-0) got the victory for the Sharks, pitching five scoreless innings, striking out five and allowing two hits. Nick Oliveira walked twice, scored three times and had two RBI. Oasis (3-1) is home on Friday against Immokalee.

Island Coast 6, Mariner 0: Josh Morales worked five scoreless innings for the Gators, allowing two hits and striking out four. Julio Castro and Chase Chatman pitched in relief. Mason Swiezer was 2-for-2 for Island Coast. Jimmy Meredith and Louis Alberro had hits for Mariner. Alberro took the loss on the mound, allowing four runs in 3 2/3 innings.

Riverdale 3, Ida Baker 0: The Bulldogs slipped to 2-2 on the season with the loss.

North Fort Myers 7, Cape Coral 5: The Red Knights scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning for a comeback District 6A-11 victory. North (4-0, 3-0) handed Cape (4-1, 0-1) its first defeat of the season. The two meet again today at North Fort Myers. Matt McDade went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs for the Seahawks, and Spencer Roach was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Daniel Valdes also had two hits for Cape Coral. Three of the Red Knights' seven runs were unearned.

Bishop Verot at Riverdale: No score reported.

Girls lacrosse

Bishop Verot 11, Riverdale 6: The Viking girls earned their initial victory of the season to improve to 1-1.
