Faith Presbyterian hosting series of faith-based conversations

Join us at Faith Presbyterian Church, Tuesdays from 6:15-7:15 p.m., for faith-based conversations on contemporary topics, with guest speakers who are experts in their field. All programs are free to attend.

'A Cajun Killing' Riverboat Mystery Theatre this weekend

If you are a murder mystery buff or just enjoy dinner theatre, you will be interested in a fun night out at St. John's Episcopal Church's, "A Cajun Killing" Mystery Dinner Theatre on Friday, Feb. 9 and Saturday, Feb. 10, and a matinee on Sunday, Feb. 11.

The setting is aboard the Magnolia Queen, a riverboat off the Louisiana coast. The captain invites everyone to a cocktail party and then they discover someone on board has been murdered. Friday and Saturday performances include a great New Orleans-style dinner and those attending the Sunday matinee get decadent desserts with coffee or tea.

The show starts promptly at 6 p.m. on Friday, promptly at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and promptly at 2 p.m. on Sunday.

The cost is $20 per person for the Friday or Saturday evening shows, and $15 per person for the Sunday matinee show.

The performances will be at St. John's Episcopal Church, Comfort Hall at 7771 Stringfellow Road, St. James City.

Christian Women's Connection of Cape Coral 'All That Jazz!' breakfast

Christian Women's Connection of Cape Coral invites the public to an "All That Jazz!" breakfast buffet at Palmetto Pines Country Club, 1940 SW 9th Ct, Cape Coral, West on S.W. 19th Lane off Skyline Boulevard.

The breakfast will be held Monday, Feb. 12, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Tickets are $20.50 inclusive. Doors open at 9 a.m. Speaker, feature and music by Tempe Brown of South Carolina, a jazz and blues singer and composer who has performed in top supper clubs,

Church rummage sale Feb. 17

Fort Myers Congregational United Church of Christ at 8210 College Parkway in Fort Myers will be holding an "Attic Treasures" sale featuring housewares, clothing, small appliances, tools, jewelry, holiday decorations, linens, books, toys and more Saturday, Feb. 17, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

For those with an appetite, there will also be baked goods and hot dogs for sale.

The sale is sponsored by the Women's Group and proceeds from the sale will support local community organizations such as the Gladiolus Learning Center, Special Equestrians, Valerie's House and Voices for Kids.

St. Andrew Council of Catholic Women to host tea party Feb. 21

St. Andrew Council of Catholic Women is having a tea party Wednesday, Feb. 21, at noon for $15. Tea, delicious finger sandwiches and mini desserts will be served with unique cups and saucers.

There will be raffles and 50/50. Attendance is limited to 90.

Lifeline Family Center to hold 'Transformed by Love' benefit dinner

The Lifeline Family Center in Cape Coral will host its annual benefit dinner, "Transformed by Love," ?Thursday, March 22, at McGregor Baptist Church. 3750 Colonial Blvd., in Fort Myers.

The keynote speaker for the program will be Gary Chapman, the other of "The Five Love Languages."

Individual tickets are $80 or $440 for a table of eight. The program runs from 5:30-9p.m.

Gulf Coast Church of Christ to hold Annual Garage Sale

Gulf Coast Church of Christ in Fort Myers will be holding its Annual Garage Sale Friday March 2, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday March 3, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Furniture, housewares, clothes, purses, jewelry, etc., will be available for sale.

A concession stand will be open to purchase beverages and food, and bake sale desserts also available.
