Oasis boys earn 17th basketball win

Oasis 80, Cypress Lake 54: The Sharks (17-5) continued to raise their school-record victory total, rolling past visiting Cypress Lake. Oasis senior Gabe Casey came up big with 31 points, including 5-of-8 from 3-point range, and had eight rebounds. Sophomore Kyle Bethel had 25 points with four 3-pointers. Boys basketball

Ida Baker at East Lee County: No score reported. The Bulldogs play at Lemon Bay on Friday in their final District 7A-10 game of the regular season.

East Lee County 96, Ida Baker 87: Abdel Escobar had 38 points and Kyle Robinson 32 as the Jaguars defeated visiting Ida Baker. For Baker, Stephen Hawkins scored 18 points, Corey Friar 17 and David Aguirre and Blake Donnelly had 15 points each. The Bulldogs play at Lemon Bay on Friday in a Distirct 7A-10 contest.

Girls basketball

Island Coast 43, Oasis 28: The Gators (8-13) downed Oasis (9-12) at Island Coast. The Gators will be home against Mariner on Friday in their regular-season finale. The Sharks' next game will be next week at Bishop Verot in the District 5A-10 tournament.
