Mariner 0, Gulf Coast 0 (tie): Mariner (12-2-3) and Gulf Coast (8-2-4) played to a scoreless draw in Naples. The Tritons (6-0 district) play at Port Charlotte on Tuesday in District 3A-13.

St. Thomas Aquinas 4, Cape Coral 0: The loss was the first (14-1-1) of the season for Cape. The Seahawks play at Community School of Naples on Tuesday.

Lehigh Lightning New Year's Shootout

Mariner 75, Lemon Bay 57: Mariner (9-5) had no trouble with the Manta Rays (6-5) in their Lehigh Lightning New Year's Shootout matchup. The Tritons swept their two games in the two-day tournament. Mariner's next game is Thursday at home against Immokalee.

Sanford Seminole 82, Cape Coral 71: The Seahawks (9-4) dropped their second game in as many days, falling in the Lehigh Lightning New Year's Shootout. Seminole improved to 11-3. Cape Coral is home against Ida Baker on Tuesday.

Riverdale 80, Oasis 75: Riverdale (9-2) was led by the Tracey brothers, Jadrian Tracey (22 points) and Jason Tracey (18 points, 10 rebounds). The Sharks are 10-3 with the loss, having split two games in the Lehigh Lightning New Year's Shootout. Oasis plays at LaBelle on Tuesday.

Lehigh Lightning New Year's Shootout

Oasis 66, Fort Myers 59 (3OT): The Sharks stunned Fort Myers in a marathon contest Friday in the Lehigh Lightning New Year's Shootout. Oasis (10-2) was led by senior Gabe Casey's 21 points, nine rebounds and three steals, and junior Taylon Hutchins's 21 points, seven assists and three steals. Junior Vlad Dorlys had 10 points, including a key 3-pointer late in regulation.

Mariner 55, Clearwater Countryside 54: The Tritons (8-5) held off a late Countryside (6-4) rally for the victory. The Cougars, down 49-38 after three periods, outscored Mariner 16-6 in the fourth quarter.

Venice 66, Bishop Verot 61: Sophomore Trace Darby led the Vikings (7-5) with 21 points and 11 rebounds in the Lehigh Lightning New Year's Shootout. Senior Josh Schwartz added 11 points for Bishop Verot.

Port Charlotte 66, Cape Coral 51: The Seahawks (9-3, 4-1) suffered their first District 7A-10 loss of the season in a road contest at Port Charlotte (6-3, 3-1).

Girls basketball

Cape Coral 53, Port Charlotte 12: Cape Coral had no trouble against Port Charlotte in impoving to 9-4, 6-1 in District 7A-10. The Pirates fell to 2-11, 1-2. Crystal Tisme led the Seahawks with 11 points, with Cici Moore scoring 10 points for Cape.

Boys soccer

Immokalee 4, Mariner 0: Mariner fell to 17-5 on the season with a loss at Immokalee (6-8-3). The Indians scored three of their four goals in the second half.
