Cattani leads FGCU past Florida Memorial

Jessica Cattani scored a career-high 23 points to lead the FGCU women's basketball team to an 82-43 win over Florida Memorial in Alico Arena Saturday.

The victory completes the non-conference season for FGCU (14-3), who will host Stetson at 4 p.m. Saturday to open ASUN play.

Cattani came off the bench to finish 9-for-11 from the field, including a 5-for-7 performance from 3-point range, while adding three rebounds and an assist.

Erica Nelson added 16 points, two rebounds, two steals and an assist.

Tytionia Adderly added eight points, 12 rebounds, three assists and a steal in just 20 minutes of action.

Defensively, FGCU held Florida Memorial without a field goal for the first 14 minutes of the game.

All 11 players who played for FGCU scored at least two points and had at least one rebound. 10 of the 11 had at least one made field goal. The Eagles have now won four straight and eight of the past nine.
