Big Sky Southeast completes four Walmart additions

Big Sky Southeast has completed construction of four Walmart additions throughout the state of Florida and has begun construction on a fifth, including two Southwest Florida locations, announced Christopher Carr, co-founder and managing partner of the Cape Coral-based contracting company.

The completed projects include: Walmart (Liquor Box) Bradenton; Walmart Neighborhood Market (45,000 square feet) Homestead; Walmart (Liquor Box) Naples; Walmart (Liquor Box) Destin; and Walmart (Liquor Box) Fort Myers (4770 Colonial Blvd., corner of Colonial and Six Mile Cypress - under construction)

The 6,000-square-foot, ground-up additions include construction of a new foundation, masonry walls, structural steel, manufactured curbs, steel deck, roof system, gutters and downspouts, doors, interior finishes, fire protection, plumbing, and mechanical services, as well as electrical services. Known as the "liquor box," the additions will house a new stand-alone liquor store concept and include a separate entrance, retail sales area, shelving and refrigeration, as well as a walk-in beer cooler.

The Lee Building Industry Association recently awarded Royal Shell Real Estate three Pinnacle Awards including Residential Brokerage Firm of the Year for 2017, Best Magazine Ad for an Associate and Best Insert in a Publication for an Associate.

The nonprofit organization's Pinnacle Awards honor building and construction industry professionals who make superior contributions to the residential home building industry in sales, marketing and design, as well as outstanding achievement. The Residential Brokerage Firm of the Year award recognizes Royal Shell for its management capabilities, customer relations, ethical behavior, community involvement and excellence in the residential building industry.

In its ongoing effort to give back to the community and help local families in need, the team at Century 21 Selling Paradise once again came together last week to create dinner baskets for Christmas. In addition to providing the dinners, dozens of children also received Christmas gifts as more than 100 agents brought in new toys and clothing to help children in the area that are less fortunate.

Owners Bobby and Connie Mahan, along with their entire management and real estate agent team, have a tradition of giving back for more than 10 years and have been providing meals for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, as well as donating gifts for the children at Christmas.

Above Board Chamber to present 'Your Company's Advertising Strategy for 2018!'

Women in Business to host Healthy Habits Seminar at Bell Tower Shops

The Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce January Women in Business meeting, sponsored and hosted by Bell Tower Shops, will take place on Jan. 10 from 4-6 p.m. in the center stage area of the complex located on the corner of U.S. 41 and Daniels Parkway.

This meeting will feature speakers who will focus on healthy habits and eating to start off the New Year right while providing a cooking demonstrate and samples!

Dr. Lee Angle from Upper Cervical Health Centers will provide insight into how hormones play a role in women's health and how it is impacted by everything that we consume.

Mark Blust, vice president of operations and marketing for the Prawnbroker Restaurant Group, will provide a cooking demonstration on healthier dietary options.

Adenike Johnson of Fibrre will create a healthy dessert option for the event as well.
