Downtowner Car Washes to honor veterans Saturday

All Veterans receive a free car wash Saturday, Nov. 11. Downtowner Car Wash officials believe that it is important to remember those who have served our country, and they want to emphasize the importance of support for veterans by the general public.

Veterans will only need to inform the Downtowner Car Wash verbally that they are veterans in order to receive their free car wash.

Started on Nov. 11, 2007, the program is designed to honor veterans on Veteran's Day, to show the Downtowner's support for the armed forces personnel and to reward veterans for their service. Grace for Vets happens each year at the Downtowner Car Wash on Veteran's day.

The Downtowner has three locations in Cape Coral: 1009 Del Prado Blvd. S., Cape Coral, 1707 Cape Coral Parkway, Cape Coral and 1203 SW Pine Island Rd., Cape Coral.

The Downtowner Car Wash began in a single location in St. Paul, Minn., in 1978. In 2006, a new facility was taken over at 1009 Del Prado Blvd., S. in Cape Coral, Florida. The company is building it's fourth location and has three currently operating in Cape Coral.
