Candidate Debates continue tonight

The city-hosted debates for the Cape Coral City Council General Election will continue tonight for the mayor's race.

The 60-minute forum for mayoral candidates will begin at 7 p.m. and will be held in City Council Chambers at1015 Cultural Park Boulevard.

The debate will be moderated by Joe Mazurkiewicz, executive director of the Cape Coral Council for Progress. Questions will be posed by Valarie Harring from the Cape Coral Breeze and Tom Hayden of the News-Press.

The public is invited to attend.

The debate will be televised on CapeTV Channel 98 on Comcast and Channel 94 on Prism, and also available via live stream on the CapeTV website (www.cape-tv.com).

The debate for the District 1, 4, 5 and 6 City Council seats was held Thursday.

Both sessions will also be available for viewing on the city website, capecoral.net.

Cape Coral municipal elections are non-partisan and at large. Registered voters can vote for candidates in all four council districts as well as the mayor's race.
