City boats ramps temporarily close for maintenance

October 24, 2017
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

Three city boat ramps will be closed temporarily this week while crews fill holes at the bottom of the concrete ramps using sand bags. Ramps will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the designated day.

Boaters are advised to plan accordingly.

The Burnt Store Ramp was closed Tuesday.

The BMX Ramp will be closed today, and the Rosen Park Ramp, Thursday.

About 500 sand bags will be used to plug the holes, which are created over time due to the prop wash from loading boats on trailers. The city conducts this maintenance on an annual basis as needed.
