Caloosa Pointe brings stately homes to

historic Fort Myers waterfront

The Southwest Florida division of Emerald Homes has announced that new homes are now available at Caloosa Pointe. Located in the historic Fort Myers area west of McGregor Boulevard, and just north of the Midpoint Bridge off Melaleuca Lane, these estate homes start at $546,990. A model home is now under construction on this intimate street of only nine homesites.

Three distinctive coastal home designs have been released for sale at Caloosa Pointe, ranging from 2,540 to 3,148 square feet of living space with three to four bedrooms, 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 baths and a three-car garage.

Stevens Construction Inc. wins three Sand Dollar awards

Stevens Construction has won three Sand Dollar awards from the Collier Building Industry Association.

In a ceremony held on Sept. 30 at the Ritz-Carlton Tiburn in Naples, Stevens Construction earned a Sand Dollar award in the $3 to $5 million healthcare category for the Naples Community Hospital fourth floor renovation. Stevens Construction completed a 22,594-square-foot project in February 2017, which houses a 23-bed oncology specialty care department and a 12-bed behavioral health treatment center.

Stevens Construction also earned a Sand Dollar award for best renovation project in the $1 to $3 million category for The French, located at 365 5th Avenue South in Naples. The French features such architectural elements as custom embossed tin ceilings, oversized antiqued mirrors, red leather seating, black and white mosaic flooring and hand-painted, original murals.

In the best commercial $1 to $3 million category, Stevens Construction earned a Sand Dollar award for a new outdoor wildlife rehabilitation area at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida's von Arx Wildlife Hospital. The expansion included new wildlife recovery areas and outside structures that allows the Conservancy to enhance its care of wildlife with the goal of rehabilitating animals and returning them to the wild.

Sand Dollar awards are presented annually to building, design and marketing professionals who have demonstrated excellence within the building industry in Collier County. Entries are judged on unique features of the project, unusual constraints, and the how the project addresses the needs of the target market.

R.D. Johnson Construction completes Pain Clinic renovations at HealthPark Commons

R.D. Johnson Construction Inc. has completed construction management services for the interior renovations of the Lee Health Pain Clinic in the Outpatient Center at HealthPark Commons, located at 16281 Bass Road in Fort Myers.

The project combined two separate spaces of the building, creating a larger clinical space for a more efficient and patient-friendly facility. The project included the renovation of physicians' offices, exam rooms, waiting areas and restrooms.

Weicht joins GATES Construction as project coordinator

GATES Construction has announced the addition of Debbie Weicht as project coordinator. She will be responsible for preparing, organizing, maintaining and monitoring project documentation. She will work closely with superintendents and project managers, assisting them in jobsite set-up, subcontractor meeting management, safety meetings and project close-out.
