Six Wags Over Fort Myers Pet Carnival Sept. 16 at Iona-Hope Episcopal

The first Six Wags Over Fort Myers Pet Carnival will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Iona-Hope Episcopal Church, 9650 Gladiolus Drive, Fort Myers.

The carnival will be a celebration for pets and their humans featuring doggie and people cafe, pet photos and keepsakes, silent auction, spa experience including chair massage for humans and pampering for pups, pet rescue adoptions, petting zoo, gift shop, homemade pet treat sale and more.

Most activities will be indoors so the show can go on rain or shine.

Iona-Hope Episcopal Church is next to the library on corner of Gladiolus Drive and Bass Road.

Admission is free and proceeds benefit All God's Creatures (Iona-Hope's Animal Ministry group). Its mission is to honor the kinship of all living creatures by caring for and serving animals with respect, love and gratitude.

St. Andrew Catholic School to hold first-ever 5K run on Oct. 27

St. Andrew Catholic School will hold its first-ever 5K run on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 7:30 a.m., at Jaycee Park, at 4125 S.E. 20th Place, in Cape Coral. All proceeds from the rum will be used to build a new playground at the school.
