Cape Coral Daily Breeze

Hope Healthcare is offering an eight-week series for fathers facing the loss of a child.

"Dad's Grief Toolkit" will address topics including Grief 101, Talking to Your Children and Defining a New Normal. Participants will be asked to complete a one-on-one counseling session with a Hope bereavement counselor prior to attending the group sessions.

The series begins Sept. 6 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and is scheduled for the first and third Wednesday of each month in the Community Room in Hope's HealthPark Office at 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers. To attend, contact Lorrie McCann, LMHC at 239-985-7716 or Lorrie.McCann@HopeHCS.org.

With generous community support, Hope is able to offer grief counseling programs designed for adults, teens and children; LGBT; bereaved mothers; those who have experienced the suicide of a loved one; crisis support for community schools and businesses; and a group for Spanish speaking adults.
