The Lodge at Cypress Cove earns five-star CMS rating

August 4, 2017
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

The Lodge at Cypress Cove, one of South-west Florida's skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities, has earned the Five-Star Overall Quality Rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

The rating for the 64-private apartment skilled-living facility is the second top rating received by the community since April when it received a "deficiency-free" report from the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration.

"We are extremely proud," said Health Services Director David Gray, "that our hard work and quality care provided by a dedicated staff have been recognized by the CMS. Our top-rated staff is to be commended for their continuous efforts to make The Lodge a special place."

The Lodge services reach across all spectrum of nursing care from private long-term care to skilled rehabilitation. The opening this past fall of the 3,500-square-foot Mead Therapy Center is among the many additions in quality care provided for residents of The Lodge. The state-of-the-art rehabilitation Mead Therapy Center also serves as an outpatient service facility.

Ratings are based on three categories of criteria: health inspections, quality measures (measurement that judge the quality of care given to residents) and staffing.
