Dell, Scott named 2017 Women in Business APEX Award recipients

The Women in Business Committee of the Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce announced that Barbara Dell of Dress for Success and Samantha Scott, owner of Pushing the Envelope, have been selected as the recipients of the 12th Annual APEX Award.

The black-tie optional award ceremony honoring Dell and Scott, will take place Sept. 30 at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa.

Guests may enjoy plated dinner, cocktails, silent auction, entertainment and dancing. Proceeds from the silent auction will support the WIB scholarship fund for non-traditional female students. Reservations are $150 per person and can be made online at

Dell is the founder and CEO of Dress for Success SW Florida, a non-profit- organization providing unemployed, underprivileged women professional attire, as well as a network of support and career development tools to help them thrive in work and in life. Since opening its doors in September 2010 Dress for Success has served over 2,500 women in SW Florida.

Scott, APR, is the president of Pushing the Envelope Inc., a Certified Woman Owned Small Business providing strategic marketing communication services since 2006. Honored with more than 30 awards, she is Accredited in Public Relations (APR) and has worked with brands such as Harley-Davidson and West Marine.
