Gentile graduates from Maryville College

Casey Gentile of Cape Coral has completed requirements for a bachelor of science degree and graduated magna cum laude from Maryville College in Maryville, Tenn. Gentile majored in biology while at the college.

Approximately 250 seniors participated in commencement exercises held May 21. Jack Spencer, a 1965 Maryville College alumnus and an internationally renowned public health expert, was the commencement speaker and was also awarded an honorary doctor of public health degree during the ceremony.

Maryville College is a nationally ranked institution of higher learning that successfully joins the liberal arts and professional preparation.

Maryville College is the state's third largest city. Founded in 1819, it is the 12th oldest institution of higher learning in the South and maintains an affiliation with the Presbyterian Church. Known for offering its students a rigorous and highly personal experience that includes an undergraduate research requirement, Maryville College is a nationally ranked institution of higher learning that successfully joins the liberal arts and professional preparation.
