Next month's roster of activities at Cape Coral Lee County Public Library offers topics for all ages. The following activities are free to the public:

Adult Programs

English Caf

10 a.m., Fridays, June 2, 9, 16, 23

6 p.m., Tuesdays, June 6, 13, 20

Free, informal conversation sessions for adult ESOL/ESL students.

Craft Corner: Knitting and Crocheting

3 p.m., Mondays, June 5, 12, 19, 26

A casual self-guided group of knitters and crocheters share ideas, techniques and patterns. Sponsored by Friends of the Cape Coral Public Library.

An Afternoon at the Movies

1 p.m., Saturday, June 10

A docudrama about the 2010 oil-rig explosion in the Gulf of Mexico that resulted in the largest offshore oil spill in U.S. history. Rated PG-13.

Community Classroom: Enjoy Fitness at Any Age

1 p.m., Monday, June 12

Activity is one of the most important ways to improve health and help avoid chronic disease/disability. Discussion will include the four types of exercise: endurance, strength, stretching and balance. Presented by Angels Care Home Health. Registration is required.

Coloring for Grown-ups

11 a.m., Friday, June 16

The repetitive motion involved in coloring has a calming effect and adults have found this childhood activity a refreshing way to release their creativity, relieve stress and meet other participants. Materials provided. Sponsored by Friends of the Cape Coral Public Library.

Storytime

Family Storytime

10 a.m., Wednesdays,

June 7, 14, 21, 28

For babies and children up to age five. Your whole family is invited to this enjoyable, all-ages storytime that encourages the development of prereading skills through songs, rhymes, fingerplays and stories. An age-appropriate craft will be provided following the storytime. On-line registration is required. Registration is required.

Children and teens can earn a credit for every 15 minutes they read in the designated area for a total of $8 in one session. Credit may be applied to cards issued to patrons age 18 and under only and applies only to charges on overdue materials. Please bring your library card.

Teen Programs

Chess Anyone?

5:30 p.m., Tuesdays, June 6, 13, 20, 27

Rise to the chess challenge and join in the fun. Bring a personal chess set, if desired. Sponsored by Friends of the Cape Coral Public Library.
