SOR says many thanks — and please stay involved

March 17, 2017
Cape Coral Daily Breeze

To the editor:

Thanks to all who made our fundraiser at Fathom's a huge success! We had incredible music from the Melody Makers who donated their time and talent and made it a very fun and festive event. Thanks to all the donors who contributed to our various auctions and thanks to all of you who bought raffle tickets and purchased items at our silent auction. We got to talk to many of you and got many more signatures on our petitions. It couldn't have gone any better. Visit for photos of the event.

Next up is our rally planned for Tuesday, March 21, from 4:30 p.m. -5:30 p.m. along Palm Tree Blvd (rain date is March 22). We will be meeting at the empty lot next to CenturyLink's service center at 4001 Palm Tree Blvd. We plan to walk up and down Palm Tree with signs showing our support for keeping the golf course property as a Park and Recreation amenity for the community. We will have signs available, or please feel free to bring your own. You can use your yard sign if you like. Remember, we want all signs to be positive and constructive in their support for the golf course property. Likewise, we want all people participating to be respectful and positive in their actions and comments. We always want to be taking the high road in our efforts and be a positive and constructive voice in the community for the golf course.

Check in will be 3:45 p.m. with walking to begin at 4:30 and end at 5:30. We welcome families but please leave the your pets at home.

If you have any questions on the rally please contact Pam McLenithan at 517-3321-1488 or or Deanna Wallander at 920-242-4755 or

Let's show our support for this truly important cause that will affect Cape Coral and its future generations!
