Five runs batted-in by Natavia Ellis, who finished with three hits, set the tone for Wednesday's 15-0, three-inning rout by North Fort Myers at Island Coast.

Mackenzie Peterson drove in three runs with three hits for the Red Knights, who also got two hits apiece from Summer Ackerson and Marion Reed. Haley Weaver scored three times.

Emma Johnson (3-0) tossed three innings of no-hit ball with six strikeouts to pick up the win for North (12-1), which participates in a two-day tournament in Sarasota starting Friday against Braden River and Osceola Kissimmee.

Island Coast 3, North Fort Myers 0: Chase Chatman (1-3) pitched a complete game one-hitter with eight strike outs to carry Island Coast to its second win of the season Wednesday against North Fort Myers.

It took until the sixth inning for the Gators (2-8) to get on the scoreboard. Mason Schwiezer and Chatman had base hits in the sixth to start the game-winning rally. Both scored on an errant throw and the third run later scored on a wild pitch to seal the shutout.

The Gators host Lehigh on Thursday.
