Real Edge Real Estate Brokerage to hold Home Buyers Fair Saturday

Real Edge Real Estate Brokerage in Cape Coral will be holding a Home Buyers Fair this Saturday, Feb. 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the company office at 1113 S.E. 47th Terrace, unit 7, on the corner of Vincennes Boulevard, in South Cape. The company will be doing on-site pre-qualifications and agents will be on hand to answer any questions potential buyers might have about the home-buying process.

Creekside Preserve offers specials on move-in ready homes

Creekside Preserve in south Fort Myers is offering special pricing on quick move-in homes now through April. D.R. Horton's Southwest Florida division has started construction in its final phase of new homes for sale in the gated community, which is more than 70-percent sold out.

Residents recently welcomed news of lower HOA fees for 2017, which supports a maintenance-free lifestyle at Creekside Preserve, plus amenities like the heated resort-style pool. Other amenities include a clubhouse, fitness center and social room.

Lee County Community Development issues January permit report

During January, contractors pulled 134 permits to build single-family houses collectively valued at about $29.5 million in unincorporated Lee County. That compares to 85 permits issued in December 2016 and 107 issued in January 2016, according to the Lee County Department of Com-munity Development.

Also during January, six multi-family units valued at about $768,000 were permitted, compared to 12 units in December 2016 and 14 units in January 2016.

General commercial activity was valued at about $9.6 million for 33 permits, compared to about $4.1 million in December 2016 and about $8.8 million in January 2016.

Lee County Community Develop-ment issued 3,920 permits of all kinds in January.

Lee County Community Develop-ment oversees planning, zoning, development and building services, environmental review, building inspection, and code enforcement for the unincorporated areas of Lee County.

Suffolk Construction employees volunteer at Community Cooperative

A dozen Suffolk Construction Southwest Florida team members recently volunteered their time at Community Cooperative in Fort Myers preparing food for the hungry and homeless in the organization's Everyday Cafe and for its Meals on Wheels program, as well as cleaning in the kitchens, wrapping holiday gifts for local families in need and landscaping exterior areas.

The mission of Community Coop-erative is to eliminate hunger and homelessness in Lee County while simultaneously inspiring and supporting sustained positive change in its clients by delivering innovative food, education and social service programs. It provides more than 15,000 meals each month through several programs, including Meals on Wheels, offer comprehensive homeless series through United Way and provide employment and financial skill classes to help achieve positive life changes.
