Steve A. Reyna, 79, of North Fort Myers died July 16, 2014. He was born Nov. 29, 1934, in Houston, Texas, to Steve S. and Frances (Garcia) Reyna.
He served in the U.S. Navy after high school, and after discharge, graduated from the University of Houston with degree in education. He moved to Trinity, Texas, and resided there for 23 years before moving to North Fort Myers. His teaching career of 40 years occurred in the Houston Independent School District and the Texas Windham School District.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Watkins) Reyna; his children, Steve Reyna, Madeline Williams (Lonnie), David Reyna (Belinda), Teresa La Count and Daxon La Count (Mary); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Lou Buck.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Antonia Reyna; his grandson, Lonnie Williams III; and his sister, Stella Cacioppo.
A Celebration of his life will be held from 2-5 p.m., Saturday Aug. 2, in the Fellowship hall of the Candlelight Church of Christ, 4215 Watonga Blvd., Houston, Texas.
