To the editor:
All of the volunteers and staff of the American Cancer Society would like to thank the participating restaurants and media sponsors as well as the entire community that came out to Stick a Fork in Cancer on Tuesday, July 8.
It was an incredibly successful day with all of our local communities banding together to Finish the Fight against the villain that's impacted nearly all of our lives: cancer. A total of 59 restaurants across Lee, Charlotte, Hendry and Collier Counties participated in the fifth annual event, donating 10-20 percent of their proceeds for the entire day. Friends, families and co-workers enjoyed some of our area's finest restaurants while being able to help our community fight back against cancer for breakfast, lunch, and dinner!
These amazing local restaurants donated 10-20 percent of their day's proceeds to the American Cancer Society. All proceeds will help fund support for local cancer patients as well as vital cancer research. We would like to thank:
