Roz's Stuff is a unique boutique specializing in unusual treasurers from the USA and around the world, according to owner Rosealie Lesser. The store recently opened in South Cape, next to Gordon's Pool at 1520 S.E. 46th Lane. The items for sale represent three lifetimes of collecting from her husband's father Sam Lesser, who served in the Spanish American War, to about the start of the 21st century.
The inventory features wood carvings from Morocco to the Philippines, a Sandwich Glass collection larger than the one on display in the museum in Massachusetts, some historic Boy Scout documents dated in 1937 as well as some Native American jewelry.
They have a portable bar that was used at the historic Snack House in downtown Fort Myers. Their walking stick collection is all hand carved and date prior to 1970. Come see the ship model of the Robert E Lee.
Lesser's husband, Shepp, owned the Franklin Aluminum & Brass Foundry in Franklin, Mass., so there are many decorative pieces that were forged circa 1945. Be sure to search the "Bargain Basement" section where whatever offer you make for an item will be accepted.
The paintings are all original oils on canvas. They have a collection of documents from World War II featuring some unused oil ration coupons and a letter of levy for violation of the lighting ordinance. You can also find a huge framed autograph poster of Whoopi Goldberg on her poster from "Sister Act 2."
For your shopping pleasure, Roz's Stuff features a sitting area for customers that offer water or tea and cookies.
